The All India Industrial Gases Manufacturers’
Association (AIIGMA) is a national representative body of
industrial gas
manufacturers and allied industries in India comprising
of members from public and private sectors industries.
AIIGMA started in the year 1975 and has over 270 members including
all leading gas manufacturers in India and abroad who have a direct interest on
the Indian gas industry. Industrial Gas Industry covers gases namely, oxygen,
nitrogen, argon, acetylene, helium, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and medical gases
like medical oxygen and nitrous oxide. Industrial Gases are vital input for
almost all sectors of industry like engineering, metallurgical, steel, aluminum,
copper, zinc etc.
AIIGMA plays an important role to bring all concerned to a common
platform for exchange of views, ideas and experience; to bring about overall
development of gas industry.
The Association has been organizing annually ‘Seminar on
Industrial Gases’ for the last 38
years in different places each year.
In 2009, we have organized our 31st Seminar in New Delhi which was
inaugurated by Dr. A P J Abul Kalam, former President of India.
In 2010, the unprecedented success of the previous year had been
an impetus to take AIIGMA beyond geographical barriers and we had organized the
Seminar at Bangkok. The Event was inaugurated by Dr. Vachura Phanachte, the
Thailand Trade Representative and Mr. Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, the Indian
Ambassador to Thailand was the Chief Guest of Honor.
In 2011, AIIGMA surged ahead and organized the Seminar at Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia.
His Excellency Dato' S.K.Devamany, Dy Minister in the Office of
the Prime Minister, Government of Malaysia inaugurated the Seminar along with M.
B N Reddy, Dy. High Commissioner, Indian Embassy who was the Guest of Honour and
Senior Officials from Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA),
Malaysia also graced the occasion with their august presence. Mr. T R Thomas, Jt.
Chief Controller of Explosives, PESO, Government of India also attend the
Seminar.
In 2012, AIIGMA went a step ahead in bridging boundaries and
organised the 34th Seminar on Industrial Gases at Hotel Atlantis the Palm, Dubai.
His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under Secretary of the
Ministry of Foreign Trade, UAE inaugurated the Seminar along with His Excellency,
Mr. M K Lokesh, Indian Ambassador to UAE who was the Guest of Honour. Mr. Ren
Yinjian, Deputy President of CIGIA, Mr. Pu Chungan, General Secretary, CIGIA and
officials from Ministry of Macro, Small and Medium Industries also graced the
occasion with their August presence.
The Seminar was a stupendous success with participation of over
350 delegates from major gas manufacturers from different parts of India and all
over the World.
In 2013, AIIGMA organised the 35th Seminar in Hotel Marina Bay
Sands, Singapore.
His Excellency Dr. T C A Raghavan, Indian High Commissioner,
Singapore inaugurated the Seminar. Mr. Sanjiv Lamba, Member of Executive Board,
Linde AG was the Guest of Honour. Mr. Pu Chungan, Secretary General, China
Industrial Gas Industry Association also graced the occasion with his August
presence.
In April 2014, AIIGMA organised the 36th Seminar in Hotel Shangri la, Bangkok,
Thailand again.
Shri Naveen Saxena, First Secretary (Economic and Commercial) and
Head of Chancery, Indian Embassy, Bangkok inaugurated the Seminar along with
Shri Sanjiv Lamba, Guest of Honour and Mr. Stefan Messer, President,
International Oxygen Manufacturers Association (IOMA). Mr. Arthit Sehgal, Board
of Investment also graced the occasion.
In the year 2015, AIIGMA organised the Annual Event on 1st , 2nd
and 3rd February 2015 which was held in Hotel ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. The
Seminar was a stupendous success with participation of over 250 delegates from
major gas manufacturers from different parts of India and all over the World.
His Excellency Dr. K Rosaiah, Governor of Tamil Nadu inaugurated
the Seminar. Mr. P C Srivastava, Jt. Chief Controller of Explosives (HOD) and Mr.
Pu Chungan, General Secretary, China Industrial Gas Industry Association also
graced the occasion with his August presence.
The Theme of the Seminar “Challenges of Today, Scope for Tomorrow”
was very appropriate in the present scenario.
The 38th Seminar on Industrial Gases organized by All India
Industrial Gases Manufacturers Association (AIIGMA) on 20th , 21st and 22nd
March 2016 was held in Hotel Hilton, Colombo. With the theme “From Surviving to
Thriving” is very appropriate in the present scenario.
Mr. Ravi Karunanayake, Hon’ ble Finance Minister, Govt. of Sri
Lanka inaugurated the Seminar along with Mr. R Ravindra, Deputy High
Commissioner, Indian High Commissioner, Colombo who also graced the occasion
with his August presence.
The Seminar was a stupendous success with participation of over
195 delegates from major gas manufacturers from different parts of India and all
over the World.
The 39th Seminar on Industrial Gases organized by All India
Industrial Gases Manufacturers Association (AIIGMA) on 19th, 20th and 21st
January 2017 was held in Hotel Ritz Carlton, Abu Dhabi.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar, First Secretary of Development to the Indian
High Commission in Abu Dhabi inaugurated the Seminar.
The Seminar was a stupendous success with participation of over
195 delegates from major gas manufacturers from different parts of India and all
over the World.
