Cryogen-Expo – The World`s Superior Exhibition

«Cryogen-Expo» has annually been carried out since 2002 and it is the unique international specialized exhibition in Russia dedicated to the cryogenic technologies which visually demonstrates the achievements of the cryogenic branch of undustry. The exhibition has deservedly taken its place in the international exhibitions calendar and was greatly appreciated by the Russian and foreign cryogenic engineers, the representatives of the cryogenic scientific circles, the cryogenic equipment and products manufacturers, bringing them together at the same fairground.

«Cryogen-Expo» is held in the middle of November at the leading exhibition center of Moscow- «Expocentre Fairgrounds". It appears to be the largest and representative specialized exhibition in the world regarding to the exhibitors composition.

The purpose of the fair can be formulated in three ways:

• To favour the development of the industrial and economic links;
• To promote changing of the scientific and technical information;
• To promote the applied cryogenic technologies to be widely adopted and used in the different branches of industry and medicine.
   

The International Academy of Refrigeration, International non-commercial partnership of technical gas manufactures "IGMA" and the Ukrainian Association of Industrial Gases Manufacturers "UA-SIGMA" render the permanent assistance and support to the exhibition. «Cryogen-Expo» has been recognized and supported by the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR, Paris www.iifiir.org) since 2006, the IIR participated in «Cryogen-Expo» in 2007 with its own booth. As a consequence of this participation the IIR expressed the intention of further exhibition support and cooperation with the aim to develop this Trade Fair.

The information partners of the «Cryogen-Expo» are invariably the main trade publications, publishing houses and Internet portals. The Organizers of «Cryogen-Expo» maintain partner relations and carry out the information exchange with the international exhibitions, conferences and seminars both in Russia and abroad. There are the international exhibition "World of Liquefied and Compressed Gases" (Kiev, Ukraine), the international conferences of the IIR (first of all "Cryogenics"), international seminars "Increase of Effectiveness and Safety of Systems for Producing Liquefied and Compressed Natural Gases" and "Increase of Effectiveness and Ecology-Technological Safety of Carbon Dioxide Manufacture and Use".

The information cooperation with the Cryogenic Society of America Inc. (www.cryogenicsociety.org) was established in 2008.

The subject area of the «Cryogen-Expo» exhibition was developing in parallel with the increase of the exhibitors' amount, according to the demands of the Russian cryogenic market. The number of the main exhibition's sections was enlarged more then twice during the period of its development.

At present it is extremely important to develop such directions, as the mobile plants for the natural gas processing and its further transporting in liquid state. Especially it is the topical question for the purposes of programs for the continental shelf development and transporting the liquefied gas from the difficult to access regions.

Also the specialists attention is now attracted to the high purity gases production for the electronic semi-conductive industry, alternative hydrogen energy sources and high pressure vessels (in the first place for the future motor transport). This branch of industry forms the significant part of the exposition.

The modern technologies of the soils and food stuff cryogenic freezing have assumed a great importance in the man's management, that encourages the exhibitors to demonstrate their achievements in this sphere.

The section of cryomedicine and cryobiology for the purpose of the biological objects cryopreservation deserve special attention. This section deals with the practical use of the cryogenic methods of treatment in general, therefore it was considered to include the practical-research conference "New Archievements in Practical Medical Cryology" into the exhibitions business program.

Exhibition Business Program:

The practical research conference "Cryogenic Technologies and Equipment. Prospects of Development" is traditionally held in the frames of «Cryogen-Expo». It is its integral part which enables the exhibitors and visitors to raise the efficiency of their work at the exhibition. The conference is aimed to facilitate the innovation information and professional experience exchange and to develop the close interconnection between the science and industry.

The conference is chaired by Professor Aleksey M. Arkharov, Laureate of State Prizes, Government Awards and Gustav Lorentzen International Award, Doctor of Science, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the «Cryogen-Expo» Trade Fair, Vice-President of the National Russian Committee for the IIR, Honorary IIR Member, and Head of E4 Subdepartment of the BMSTU.

The conference focuses on discussing relevant problems and innovative cryogenic technologies engineering, carried out by the leading scientists and specialists; on sharing experiences regarding cryogenic equipment designing, upgrading, operation and new developments and equipment presentations.

Due to the LNG projects governmentally supported in Russia and abroad, the LNG Shipping conference was created in 2011 in the frames of exhibition business program. This event is aimed at discussion of advantages of LNG as a fuel, modernization trends of tanker fleet, investment opportunities etc.

The arrangement of the separate section dedicated to the cryomedicine is caused by the currency of the use of the cryogenic methods of treatment in the different fields of medicine, e. g. cosmetology and oncology.

Practical-research Conference with international involvement "New Achievements in Practical Medical Cryology" is organized by the Exhibition Company "Mir-Expo" with a help of Cryosurgery department of Moscow scientific oncological Society, Russian Oncological Scientific Centre named after Blokhin N.N., Senators Club Department "Medicine and healthcare", Uncommercial Foundation "Razvitiye".

The Russian Oncology Research Center named N.N. Blokhin has been rendering its active support to the conference since the year 2005.

The conference got encouragement of the International Cryosurgery Society headed by Dr. Franco Lugnani (Italy) in the same year.

There were about 75 exhibitors participating in the «Cryogen-Expo» exhibition in the year 2011 and the show has become the "number one" exhibition in the world considering the quantity and the entry list of the exhibitors.

About half of the exhibitors appeared to be the foreign companies from the 16th countries: Russia, USA, Italy, Ukraine, Germany, France, China, India. Switzerland, Slovakia, Denmark, Czech Republic, Norway, Republic of Belarus, Turkey, England.
