CRYOGEN-EXPO - THE WORLD`S SUPERIOR EXHIBITION

'Cryogen-Expo' has annually been carried out since 2002 and is the only international specialized exhibition in Russia dedicated to the cryogenic technologies which visually demonstrates the achievements of the cryogenic branch. The exhibition has deservedly taken its place in the calendar of the international exhibitions and was greatly appreciated by the Russian and foreign developers of the cryogenic technologies, the representatives of the academic circles of the cryogenic engineering, the manufacturers of the cryogenic equipment and cryogenic products for the different branches of industry and medicine, bringing them together at the same fairground.

'Cryogen-Expo' is held in the middle of November in the leading exhibition center of Moscow- 'Expocentre Fairgrounds'. It appeared to be the largest and representative specialized exhibition in the world as regards the composition of the exhibitors.

The purpose of the fair can be formulated in three ways:

• To favour the development of the industrial and economic links;
• To promote changing of the scientific and technical information;
• To promote the applied cryogenic technologies to be widely adopted and used in the different branches of industry and medicine.

The International Academy of Refrigeration and the Ukrainian Association of Industrial Gases Manufacturers 'UA-SIGMA' render the permanent assistance and support provided for the exhibition. The 'Cryogen-Expo' has been recognized and supported by the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR, Paris www.iifiir.org) since the year 2006, the IIR participated in 'Cryogen-Expo' in the year 2007 booking its own booth. Considering the results of this participation the IIR expressed the intention to further support the action and co-operate with the aim to develop this fair.

The information partners of the 'Cryogen-Expo' are invariably the main trade publishers, publishing houses and Internet portals. The Organizers of the 'Cryogen-Expo' maintain partner relations and carry out the information exchange with the international exhibitions, conferences and seminars both in Russia and abroad. There are the international exhibitions 'World of Liquefied and Compressed Gases' (Kiev, Ukraine), the international conferences of the IIR (first of all 'Cryogenics'), international seminars 'Increase of Effectiveness and Safety of Systems for Producing Liquefied and Compressed Natural Gases' and 'Increase of Effectiveness and Ecology-Technological Safety of Carbon Dioxide Manufacture and Use'.

The information cooperation with the Cryogenic Society of America Inc. (www.cryogenicsociety.org) was established in 2008.

The subject area of the 'Cryogen-Expo' exhibition was developing in parallel with the increase of the exhibitors' number according to the demands of the Russian cryogenic market. The number of the main sections of the exhibition was enlarged more then twice as much during the period the event has been held.

At present it is extremely topical to develop such directions as the mobile installations for the natural gas processing and its further transporting in the liquid state, especially as regards the programs for the continental shelf development, and the units for transporting the liquefied gas from the regions of production which are difficult of access.

Also the attention of the specialists is now attracted to the manufacture of the high purity gases for the electronic semi-conductive industry, the alternative hydrogen energy sources and the high pressure vessels (in the first place for the future motor transport), so that to form the significant part of the exposition.

The modern technologies of the cryogenic freezing of the soils and food stuff have assumed a great importance in the man's management, encouraging the exponents to demonstrate their achievements in this sphere.

Certainly they should pay especial attention to the section of cryomedicine and cryobiology also as regards the cryopreservation of the biological objects. The section on cryomedicine deals in general with the practical use of the cryogenic methods of treatment, so that it was considered to be included in the practical-research conference as the separate section dedicated to cryomedicine.

Exhibition Business Program:

The 'Cryogenic Technologies and Equipment. Prospects of Development' practical research conference traditionally held in the frames of the 'Cryogen-Expo' exhibition is its integral part which enables the exhibitors and visitors to raise the efficiency of their work at the exhibition. The conference carries the maximum body of the innovation information and helps to provide interchange of the professional experience with the aim to develop the close interconnection between the science and industry.

The conference is chaired by Aleksey M. Arkharov, the famous Russian scientist, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 'Cryogen-Expo' exhibition, Doctor of Technique, professor, head of E-4 department of the BMSTU, the honorary member of the International Institute of Refrigeration, the laureate of the state awards.

The Purpose of the Practical-Research Conference is assigned to be the discussion of the actual problems and new development in the field of cryogenic engineering carried out by the leading scientists and specialists, the exchange of experience concerning the design, operation and modernization of the equipment, the presentation of the new technologies and equipment.

The subjects of the reports dedicated to the cryogenic technologies are as follows:

• Manufacture, Storage and Transportation of LNG and Inert Gases;
• Air Separation Plants, Processes and Devices; Storage and Transportation of Separated Product;

The arrangement of the separate section dedicated to the cryomedicine is caused by the currency of the use of the cryogenic methods of treatment in the different fields of medicine, e. g. cosmetology and oncology.

The medical section of the conference is organized by the Exhibition Company 'Mir-Expo' with a help of the All-Russian Cryosurgery Society, Medical Cryology Laboratory of Department of Operative Surgery at Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy, Medical Cryology Center 'onKolor'.

The Russian Oncology Research Center named N.N. Blokhin has been rendering its active support to the conference since the year 2005.

The conference got encouragement from the International Cryosurgery Society headed by Dr. Franco Lugnani (Italy) in the same year.

There were about 80 exhibitors participating in the "Cryogen-Expo" exhibition in the year 2009 and the show has become the "number one" exhibition in the world considering the quantity and the entry list of the exhibitors.

About half of the exhibitors appeared to be the foreign companies from the 16th countries: Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France, USA, Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey, Slovakia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, China, Byelorussia, New Zealand, South Korea, Norway.
